The mamma is who?!?

I must admit that I did not realize who the mamma was right away.  I mean, what were the odds that I would be adopted by Princess Treasure's prime minister.  But it is true.  She and Ringo tell me stories of their adventures and I peruse the archives.

When I first realized this, I wondered if the mamma would miss affairs of state, but she doesn't seem to.  Instead, she fills her days with quiet pursuits and appears satisfied.  That is good, cuz I was looking for the same thing.  Isn't it good we found each other when we did?

Upset

The mamma' s chair broke 2 weeks ago, which has upset all my routines for getting treats and pets.  She says she plans to get another one, but I don't think she has done anything about it.  She says I don't understand the whole situation, but really, how hard can it be?

The mamma made me my own little hamburger tonight.  Then she got her shower while I was eating the hamburger.  I am ashamed to admit I chose the hamburger over guarding her.....

The mamma pulled a fast one on  me this morning.  She said she was cooking bacon.  I waited, I was so excited cuz she has never cooked bacon.  I thought something seemed odd.  Would you believe she had gotten 'turkey bacon?  Kitties, I turned my nose up.  This was not satisfactory.  Don't be fooled!  Only accept the real thing!

The mamma says I look so cute when I cover my eyes while napping.  Whatever.

Treats

Now that the mamma is not busy with affairs of state, we lead a pretty quiet life.  It makes the little things even more special.  Like banana pudding.   She made it yesterday and it is so good, I lick my chops!

Introductions

My name is Deedle; my mamma calls me Deedlebug.  Disgusting, I know.  Mamma used to be the Prime Minister in the Realm of Capitol Drive, serving HRH Princess Treasure for many years.  She is now retired.

Mamma and I met 4 years ago.  At first I didn't realize who she was.  I was locked up in a little closet at a place called a 'humane' society.  She joined me in the closet and we chatted a little bit.  I saw a tired, sad lady, kind of like me.  She said she didn't know how close we could be, but she knew she could offer me the quiet home I needed.  At that time, that was good enough for me.

Now, I am an introverted little kitty and it took me a long time to get used to my new home.  As if it was hard enough to make this change, the mamma then 'became disabled' and no longer needs to work.  So she is home most days and inhibits my rule of the roost quite a bit.  However, she is quite tolerable and has kept her promise to have only the one kitty, ME!

Looking forward to meeting all of  you.
